OTAC: Gaspé Recon is intentionally small. Each vehicle and each participant becomes part of the expedition’s capability, decision-making, and success.

Routes still being discovered

Travel established highlights alongside roads, trails, and possibilities that require real-world investigation rather than assumptions made from behind a screen.

Mountains and sea

Cross a peninsula where rugged interior highlands eventually collide with cliffs, fishing villages, rivers, and the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

Unscripted camps

Some camps will be known. Others will be chosen because the day, route, weather, or discovery leads us somewhere better.

Shared responsibility

Navigation, communication, scouting, recovery capability, documentation, cooking, and logistics are part of the experience. This crew does not simply follow.

6 vehicles, 6 distinct jobs

Each vehicle brings something special. A sole responsibility and a need to worry about nothing else. Roles include Navigation, Medic, Cook, Mechanic, video, and Recovery.

On a traditional trip, the route has already answered most of the questions. Here, the questions are part of the reason we go. Which roads connect? Which camps are worth returning to? What lies beyond the next turn? Gaspé Recon is built for the people who want to help find the answers.
