Join us as we travel the length of the South Island over a 2 week period visiting everything from the best peaks, valleys, abandoned mining towns, and camp among the most scenic places around. This world class destination simply can not be compared and the experience here is one that will change your life forever.

The New Zealand Epic is way more than a typical overland trip. This truly is a world class overland destination that must be seen to be believed. You will experience the very best and no detail has been left out in this experience of a lifetime.

About the trip
New Zealand is a world away and there will be a good amount of flight time to get there. Once on the ground, everything else has been taken care of. A fleet of overland vehicles will be waiting, packed with all the food, fuel, and camping gear your family needs for the duration of the expedition. Everything from your insurance to two nights in a motel as a mid trip refresher has been already taken care of.
We will spend the majority of our time in the New Zealand wilderness but will pass through some towns along the way for supplies and other bonus activities. There will be many chances to get out, stretch, and fully enjoy the world around us.
Curious why this landscape might look familiar in places? Because this country features some of the most extreme scenery on earth, many popular films have been shot here including: Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Chronicles of Narnia, Avatar, Mission Impossible, Mulan, and many more!
The New Zealand Epic is designed to be experienced with a small group of likeminded individuals to keep the adventure going smoothly. This trip will be limited to 10 vehicles and participant families.

Where will we be?
We will go over booking flights with each participant to make sure everyone arrives at the same place but our arrival city will Christchurch, NZ and departure back to the states from Queenstown, NZ.
FAQs
Is this a family friendly trip?
The short answer is yes, but there are some things to consider. This is a long duration overland style trip across the world including long flights to and from the island.. Your kids should be old enough to understand, have experience with, and be comfortable with long days in the vehicle and camping. Every family is different but typically we find kids over the age of 6 do best with trips of this type.
What will the weather be like?
It may be winter back in the states, but over in Newzealand it is their summer and the perfect weather for an epic overland experience. Of course, rain is possible but expect pleasant temperatures both day and night.
Will be break up the days of driving?
Yes, although there is a large distance to cover, each day we will take breaks and there will be opportunities to be on your feet and some chances to explore too.
Where will we shower and go to the bathroom along the way?
Our camping with be mostly dispersed, carry in, carry out style and supplies for this will be covered. However, we will also plan a couple motel nights during the journey to refresh, get real showers, and enjoy the local culture.
With breathtaking scenery around each corner, every day of this journey will keep you on the edge of your seat and leave you wanting more.
