The New Brunswick portion of the Bay of Fundy contains some amazing scenery and some of the best camping around. From quiet coastal villages to remote beaches and impressive rock formations, this trip has it all.

A unique experience

Gentle routes with trails and some technical routes thrown in the mix, get ready to conquer it all and be rewarded with scenery that you won’t ever forget.

Worry free overnights

Camp in the very best spots the coast has to offer. From wooded wonderlands, hidden beach spots, cliff tops, and more. Dont worry about where you will be able to sleep, we’ve got you covered!

About the trip

This week long adventure covers roughly 700 miles from the US border, up the Canadian coast and back again. Much of the trip will be easy going with some technical portions thrown in along the way.

As with all of our trips, you and your vehicle for this trip must meet all the requirements including traveling long distances without issue. While in New Brunswick, there will be many opportunities to get out and enjoy the scenery and enjoy some local eateries.

The Fudy Quest Itinerary:

On day one, our group will meet at the US border town of Calais Maine before crossing into New Brunswick. Once there, we will follow the coast up to the top and resupply in Moncton before taking a new and exciting route back south again.

Each day will be filled with something new including uniquely amazing sights, great trails, food, and more with some great people.

The Fundy Quest is designed around a small group of likeminded individuals to keep the adventure going smoothly. This trip will be limited to 5 vehicles and participant families.

DestinationXtreme will have this trip fully planed for you from beginning to end and make sure you are completely prepared beforehand. Your trip costs that you are responsible for include, but are not limited to:

• Fuel to cover 700 miles, plus getting to our meeting location

• Food - groceries and restaurants

FAQs

  • Is this a family/pet friendly trip? - The short answer is yes, but there are some things to consider. Your kids should be old enough to understand, have experience with, and be comfortable with long days in the vehicle and camping. Every family is different but typically we find kids over the age of 6 do best with trips of this type. Keep in mind, your child will need a passport as well. As for pets, your well behaved and leash trained dog is always welcome. However, keep in mind you must be able to show proof of vaccinations at international crossings and your dog will also need to be used to long days in the vehicle.
  • Will there be opportunities to break up the days of driving? - Yes, although there is a large distance to cover, each day there will be opportunities to be on your feet and some chances to explore too.
  • Where will we shower and go to the bathroom along the way? - While driving, there will be many places to take scheduled stops for bathroom breaks. Campsites however will be dispersed style, carry in/carry out and participants should plan accordingly.
  • Will I need to bring cash? - No, you can get Canadian money out of an ATM using your bank card once we have crossed over. Most places we will go accept cards but a small amount of cash is recommended as a backup. Most importantly, please contact your bank, credit card, and cell phone provider well before the trip and inform them of your travel plans to avoid issues once crossing over.
  • Is a passport required for this trip? - Yes, it is and it is a prerequisite for signing up.
A full passport is strongly recommended in case of emergency.
